Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
Using your Antora Jacket is straightforward. Simply put it on over your chosen base and mid-layers. Adjust the hood's elastic band to fit snugly around your head, and use the hem adjustment to seal off the bottom of the jacket. Ensure the front zip is fully engaged and the storm flap is properly secured for maximum weather protection. The elastic cuffs on the sleeves will naturally conform to your wrists.
Compatibility
This jacket is designed for adult males and is intended to be worn as an outer protective shell. It's compatible with various layering systems, allowing you to adjust your warmth based on temperature and activity level. Its fit is standard, accommodating typical hiking and outdoor clothing underneath.
Care
Proper care is crucial to maintain the jacket's waterproof and windproof performance:
- Washing: The jacket is machine washable. Use a mild detergent specifically designed for waterproof outerwear, or a small amount of liquid detergent. Wash in cold water on a gentle cycle.
- Avoid Softeners and Bleach: Do not use fabric softeners, bleach, or harsh stain removers, as these can damage the DryVent™ membrane and DWR (Durable Water Repellent) coating.
- Drying: Tumble dry on a low heat setting. The heat helps to reactivate the DWR finish. If preferred, air dry away from direct sunlight. Ensure the jacket is completely dry before storing.
- DWR Reapplication: Over time, the DWR coating may wear off, causing the jacket's outer fabric to wet out. You can restore water repellency by reapplying a spray-on or wash-in DWR treatment according to the product's instructions.
