Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup: Setting up your iPad Air is straightforward. Power on the device and follow the on-screen prompts to connect to a Wi-Fi network, sign in with your Apple ID, and configure your desired settings. If you have an existing Apple device, Quick Start can help transfer your data and settings.
Compatibility: The iPad Air runs iPadOS, which is compatible with millions of apps available on the App Store. It supports the latest Apple Pencil Pro and Magic Keyboard (sold separately) for enhanced productivity and creativity. Accessories using USB-C are widely compatible, including external displays, storage drives, and audio interfaces. Ensure your accessories meet the USB-C standards for optimal performance.
Care: To maintain your iPad Air's performance and appearance:
- Display: Clean the Liquid Retina display with a soft, lint-free cloth. For stubborn smudges, slightly dampen the cloth with water. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Body: Wipe the aluminum body with a similar soft cloth. The display features an oleophobic coating that is fingerprint-resistant; avoid harsh chemicals that can degrade this coating.
- Charging Port: Keep the USB-C port free of debris. Use the recommended 60W adapter or a compatible USB-C Power Delivery charger for optimal charging speed.
- Environment: Operate the iPad Air within the recommended temperature range of 0°C to 35°C (32°F to 95°F) and store it between -20°C to 45°C (-4°F to 113°F). Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight or extreme humidity.
