Setup, Compatibility & Care
Initial Setup:
Your new iPad Air comes with iPadOS pre-installed. To begin, power on the device by pressing and holding the top button. Follow the on-screen prompts to select your language, region, and connect to a Wi-Fi network. You can then sign in with your Apple ID or create a new one. If you have another Apple device, you can use Quick Start to transfer settings and data automatically.
Compatibility:
- Operating System: Runs iPadOS 26, ensuring compatibility with the latest App Store applications. It also supports Mac operating systems for file transfer and continuity features.
- Accessories: Designed to work seamlessly with Apple Pencil Pro and Magic Keyboard (sold separately). It features a USB-C port for charging and connecting a wide range of compatible accessories, including external displays, storage devices, and audio interfaces.
- Cellular: Supports 5G and eSIM for cellular data plans. Check with your mobile carrier for compatibility and plan details.
Care Instructions:
- Cleaning: Clean the display and exterior with a soft, lint-free cloth. Avoid using abrasive materials, solvents, or aerosol sprays. For stubborn smudges, lightly dampen the cloth with water.
- Display Protection: The display features an anti-reflective and fingerprint-resistant oleophobic coating. It is recommended to use a screen protector to guard against scratches.
- Charging: Use the included USB-C cable and a compatible power adapter (sold separately, minimum 15W, recommended 60W for faster charging). Avoid exposing the device to extreme temperatures during charging.
- Temperature: Operate the iPad Air within the recommended temperature range of 0° to 35° C (32° to 95° F). Storage temperature should be between -20° to 45° C (-4° to 113° F).
- Water Resistance: The iPad Air has an IP42 rating, offering protection against light splashes and dust. Avoid submersion in water.
