If you need to install applications not available in the Microsoft Store, you can switch out of S mode for free. This is a one-way process.
Compatibility: This laptop is designed to run Windows 11 Home in S mode. For broader software compatibility, consider switching out of S mode to the standard Windows 11 Home. Standard peripherals like USB drives, external monitors (via HDMI), and headphones are compatible. Ensure your software is compatible with Windows 11.
Care: To maintain the laptop's performance and longevity:
- Cleaning: Wipe the screen and exterior with a soft, slightly damp microfiber cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive materials. Ensure the device is powered off before cleaning.
- Ventilation: Keep the laptop's vents clear of dust and obstructions to prevent overheating. Avoid placing it on soft surfaces like beds or blankets for extended periods.
- Battery: Utilize HP Fast Charge when needed. For optimal long-term battery health, avoid consistently exposing the device to extreme temperatures.
