Talon™ 22 - Osprey - White/ Black

The Osprey Talon™ 22 is a versatile, lightweight daypack designed for active individuals seeking a comfortable and stable carry solution for a variety of outdoor activities. Ideal for hikers, cyclists, and trail runners, it excels in providing a close-to-body fit and smart organization. While perfect for day trips, its 22-liter capacity means it's best suited for single-day adventures rather than multi-day expeditions.

While made of durable nylon, the Talon 22 is highly water-resistant but not fully waterproof. For protection against heavy rain or prolonged exposure to wet conditions, a separate rain cover (not included) is highly recommended.
The Talon 22 includes an external hydration sleeve located behind the main compartment, making it compatible with most standard hydration reservoirs up to 2.5-3 liters (reservoir not included). This external access means you don't need to open the main compartment to refill.
The Talon 22 does not have a dedicated padded laptop sleeve. A smaller laptop or tablet (e.g., 13-inch) might fit in the main compartment or hydration sleeve, but it would require additional padding for protection. For larger laptops, it's generally not recommended.
The optimal and comfortable carry weight for the Talon 22 is typically between 10-20 lbs (4.5-9 kg). Exceeding this range may compromise comfort and stability due to the pack's lightweight design and intended use.
The Talon 22 features an ice axe attachment, making it suitable for approaches or lighter mountaineering where minimal gear is required. However, for dedicated technical rock climbing or multi-pitch routes, a pack designed with specific features for climbing gear (e.g., rope carry, robust haul loops) would be more appropriate.
The AirScape backpanel can be cleaned using a damp cloth and mild soap. Gently scrub the mesh surface to remove dirt and sweat, then rinse thoroughly with clean water. Allow it to air dry completely before storing.
Ensure all straps (hipbelt, shoulder, load lifters, sternum) are properly adjusted to your body. The hipbelt should bear most of the weight. Refer to the 'Setup & Adjustment' section for a step-by-step guide.
For trekking poles, ensure the lower loop is engaged and the upper bungee cinched securely. For the LidLock™ helmet attachment, ensure the plastic clip slides fully into the vent hole of your helmet. Practice these attachments a few times before your activity.
Clean any dirt or grit from the zipper teeth using a small brush and water. If still stiff, apply a small amount of zipper lubricant (e.g., silicone spray or wax) to the teeth, then work the zipper back and forth.
