Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
- Unpack the laptop and connect the power adapter.
- Press the power button to turn on the device.
- Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the initial Windows setup, including connecting to a Wi-Fi network and setting up your user account.
Compatibility:
This laptop runs the Windows operating system, offering broad compatibility with most software applications and peripherals designed for Windows. USB ports allow for connection to external drives, printers, and other accessories. Ensure any new hardware or software is compatible with the Windows version installed.
Care:
- Keep the laptop in a cool, dry place. Avoid direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
- Clean the screen with a soft, dry microfiber cloth. For stubborn smudges, use a screen cleaner specifically designed for electronics, applied sparingly to the cloth, not directly to the screen.
- Wipe down the keyboard and exterior with a slightly damp cloth. Ensure the device is powered off and unplugged before cleaning.
- Periodically clean the ventilation openings to prevent dust buildup, which can affect performance and cooling. A can of compressed air is useful for this.
