Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
- Unpacking: Remove all packaging materials and stickers from the unit.
- Placement: Place the air fryer on a stable, heat-resistant surface away from walls and other appliances, ensuring adequate ventilation around the unit.
- Initial Cleaning: Before first use, wash the non-stick basket and crisper plate in warm, soapy water, or place them in the dishwasher. Wipe the main unit with a damp cloth.
- Power: Plug the unit into a grounded electrical outlet. The display will illuminate, indicating it's ready for use.
- First Run (Optional): For the very first use, it's recommended to run an empty cycle (e.g., air fry at 200°C for 5-10 minutes) to burn off any manufacturing odors.
Compatibility
The Ninja Air Fryer AF100UK is a standalone kitchen appliance. It is compatible with standard household electrical outlets. No specific accessories or additional components are required for its primary functions, though you may use oven-safe baking dishes or silicone inserts that fit within the 3.8L basket.
Care
- Cleaning After Each Use: Always unplug the unit and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
- Basket and Crisper Plate: These are dishwasher-safe for convenient cleaning. For hand washing, use warm, soapy water and a non-abrasive sponge. Avoid metal utensils or abrasive cleaners that could damage the non-stick coating.
- Main Unit: Wipe the exterior of the main unit with a clean, damp cloth. Never immerse the main unit in water or any other liquid.
- Food Residue: Ensure all food residue is removed after each use to prevent smoke or unpleasant odors during subsequent operations.
