Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup: The Hoka Bondi 9 trainers are ready to wear right out of the box. Ensure you have selected the correct UK size for optimal fit and comfort. The shoes are designed for a neutral gait and do not require any special lacing techniques or adjustments for their core function.
Compatibility: These trainers are best suited for road running and walking on hard surfaces. Their maximal cushioning is designed to absorb impact from pavement and similar terrains. While they offer some versatility, they are not optimized for trail running or aggressive off-road conditions due to the design of the outsole and the plush nature of the midsole.
Care: To maintain the performance and longevity of your Hoka Bondi 9 trainers:
- Cleaning the Upper: Gently clean the engineered mesh upper with a soft brush or a damp cloth. Avoid using harsh detergents or abrasive cleaners, which can damage the material. For stubborn dirt, a mild soap and water solution can be used sparingly.
- Cleaning the Midsole and Outsole: Wipe down the foam midsole and rubber outsole with a damp cloth. Ensure any mud or debris is removed.
- Drying: Air dry the shoes naturally at room temperature. Do not place them near direct heat sources such as radiators or in a tumble dryer, as this can compromise the materials and adhesives.
- Storage: Store the trainers in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight when not in use.
- Lining and Sockliner: The recycled content lining and Ortholite® Hybrid sockliner can be spot cleaned. For odor control, consider using anti-odor sprays or inserts designed for athletic footwear.
