Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup: The Surface Pro 11 comes with Windows 11 Pro pre-installed. Upon first boot, follow the on-screen prompts to connect to a Wi-Fi network, sign in with your Microsoft account or create a new one, and set up Windows Hello facial recognition for secure logins. For business users, IT administrators can deploy custom images or utilize Windows Autopilot for streamlined device provisioning.
Compatibility: The device is powered by Snapdragon® X Elite and Plus processors, utilizing an ARM architecture. While Windows 11 Pro provides broad compatibility, applications not optimized for ARM may run through emulation, which could impact performance. Ensure critical software is confirmed to be compatible with Windows on ARM or runs efficiently via emulation before purchase.
Care: To maintain the device, regularly clean the screen with a soft, slightly damp microfiber cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners. Ensure the vents are kept clear of dust and debris to prevent overheating. For the optional OLED display, it's advisable to avoid displaying static images for prolonged periods to prevent screen burn-in, though modern OLED technology has significantly mitigated this risk. Use the provided 39W AC adapter for charging to ensure optimal battery health.
