Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
The The North Face Zipline Rain Jacket requires no complex setup. Simply unzip, put it on, and zip it up. Ensure the hood is properly adjusted for coverage if needed.
Compatibility
This jacket is designed as an outer shell and is highly compatible with various layering systems. For colder temperatures, pair it with:
- Base Layer: A moisture-wicking shirt for comfort.
- Mid-Layer: A fleece or puffy jacket for insulation.
It fits children aged 7-8 years (UK sizing).
Care
Proper care ensures the longevity and performance of your rain jacket:
- Washing: Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle with a mild liquid detergent. Avoid powder detergents, fabric softeners, and bleach, as these can damage the waterproof membrane and DWR finish.
- Drying: Tumble dry on low heat or hang dry. If tumble drying, you can reactivate the DWR by tumbling for 20 minutes on a warm cycle after the jacket is dry.
- DWR Reapplication: Over time, the DWR finish may wear off. If water no longer beads up, you can reapply a new DWR treatment (available as spray-on or wash-in products from outdoor retailers). Follow the specific product instructions.
- Storage: Store in a clean, dry place, away from direct sunlight.
