Setup, Compatibility & Care Instructions
Setup and Adjustments:
Your Antora Jacket is ready to wear straight out of the package. For optimal comfort and protection:
- Hood Adjustment: Utilize the drawcord and cord locks on the attached, three-panel hood to cinch it securely around your head, blocking out wind and rain. Release the cord locks to loosen.
- Hem Cinch: Locate the internal cinch cord at the hem to tighten the jacket around your waist. This helps to prevent drafts from coming up from below and keeps the jacket in place during movement.
- Cuffs: The encased elastic cuffs provide a snug fit around your wrists automatically, minimizing cold air entry.
- Zipper and Stormflap: Ensure the center front zipper is fully engaged, and then secure the hook-and-loop storm flap over it for maximum weather protection.
Compatibility:
- The regular fit allows for easy layering with base layers and mid-layers for varying temperatures. It's compatible with typical adult clothing sizes.
- Designed for adults, as indicated by the 'age_group' attribute.
Care Instructions:
- Material: The jacket features a 100% recycled nylon shell with recycled polyester mesh linings. However, the general care advice notes '100% polyester'.
- Crucial Advice: Always refer to the care instructions on the product label sewn into your specific jacket for the most accurate and up-to-date washing and drying guidelines.
- General Best Practices (if label allows):
- Machine wash cold with like colors on a gentle cycle.
- Use a mild detergent.
- Do not bleach.
- Tumble dry low or hang dry to preserve waterproofing and fabric integrity.
- Do not iron.
- Do not dry clean.
- Maintaining Water Repellency: Over time, the water-repellent finish may wear off. If water no longer beads on the surface, you may need to re-treat the jacket with a DWR (Durable Water Repellent) product suitable for waterproof/breathable fabrics, following the DWR product's instructions.
