Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
Using your Reversible Perrito Hooded Jacket is straightforward. Simply zip it up. To reverse the jacket, unzip it fully, turn it inside out, and then zip it up again from the opposite side. Ensure the chin guard is positioned correctly for comfort.
Compatibility
This jacket is designed for kids (specifically boys in size 7-8 for this variant) and is highly versatile for various outdoor activities in cool to cold, potentially damp weather. It pairs well with base layers and mid-layers for added warmth in colder conditions or can be worn over a t-shirt on milder days. Its durable polyester construction and water-repellent finish make it suitable for hiking, camping, school, and general outdoor play.
Care
Proper care will extend the life and performance of your jacket:
- Washing: Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle with similar colors. It's best to zip up all zippers before washing.
- Detergent: Use a mild detergent. Avoid bleach or fabric softeners, as these can damage the DWR finish and insulation.
- Drying: Tumble dry low with a few clean tennis balls to help fluff the insulation and restore its loft. Do not iron or dry clean.
- DWR Re-activation: Over time, the DWR finish may wear off. You can restore its water repellency using a DWR-specific wash-in or spray-on treatment, following the product instructions.
- Storage: Store the jacket in a dry, well-ventilated area when not in use. Avoid compressing it for long periods to maintain insulation loft.
