Setup
Upon receiving your Nike Air Zoom Mercurial Superfly X Academy AG boots, ensure they fit snugly but comfortably. Take some time to lace them properly, ensuring a secure fit without being too tight. While these boots are generally comfortable from the start, a short break-in period during light training sessions can help them mold to your foot's unique shape for optimal comfort.
Compatibility
These boots are specifically designed for Artificial Ground (AG) surfaces. This includes 3G and 4G artificial grass pitches. Using them on natural grass (firm ground, soft ground) is not recommended as it can compromise performance, durability of the soleplate, and potentially cause discomfort. The AG stud configuration is engineered to provide maximum grip and minimize stud pressure on synthetic surfaces.
Care
To ensure the longevity and performance of your boots, follow these care instructions:
- Cleaning: After each use, especially on artificial turf, wipe down the NIKESKIN upper with a damp cloth to remove dirt and debris. For tougher stains, use a mild soap solution and a soft brush, then wipe clean. Avoid harsh detergents or abrasive materials.
- Soleplate: Remove any accumulated rubber pellets or dirt from between the studs using a brush or by hand. This maintains optimal traction.
- Drying: Always air dry your boots at room temperature. Do not expose them to direct sunlight or use artificial heat sources (like radiators or hair dryers) as this can damage the materials and adhesives.
- Storage: Store your boots in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Using a boot bag can protect them from dust and scuffs. Consider using boot trees or crumpled newspaper inside to help maintain their shape and absorb moisture.
- Odor Control: If odors develop, air them out thoroughly. You can also use anti-odor sprays or sachets specifically designed for footwear.
