Vinylon F is a synthetic fiber unique to Fjallraven, known for its hard-wearing, lightweight properties. Unlike some other synthetic fabrics, Vinylon F swells when it gets damp, making the fabric denser and more resistant to moisture without the need for additional coatings.

To clean your Kanken, use a soft brush and lukewarm water. Gently scrub the soiled areas. Do not machine wash, bleach, iron, or dry clean, as these methods can damage the material and its water-resistant qualities.

The Kanken is highly water-resistant due to its Vinylon F fabric, which swells when wet to repel moisture. However, it is not fully waterproof, meaning prolonged exposure to heavy rain might eventually lead to some moisture penetration.

The PE foam seat cushion has a dual purpose: it prevents the contents of your backpack from poking against your back, providing comfort, and it can be removed and used as a convenient portable seat wherever you need a break.

This classic Kanken model has dimensions of H38xW27xD13cm, which can accommodate some smaller laptops or tablets. However, it does not feature a dedicated padded laptop sleeve. For better laptop protection, Fjallraven offers specific Kanken Laptop models designed for 13", 15", or 17" devices with padded compartments.

The Kanken features slender, adjustable shoulder straps. While they are not heavily padded like those on technical hiking packs, the backpack's design, combined with the internal seat cushion, aims to distribute weight effectively and promote better back posture for comfortable carrying.
