Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
The HOKA Bondi 9 trainers require no specific setup beyond ensuring a proper fit. Slip them on and adjust the laces to your preferred tightness. The internal structure and cushioning are designed to perform optimally right out of the box.
Compatibility:
These trainers are designed for neutral runners and are best suited for road running surfaces. They are compatible with most standard running sock types. While they are not specifically designed for trail running, they can handle light, well-maintained paths. They are not compatible with external motion control devices unless specifically recommended by a podiatrist.
Care:
- Cleaning: Remove excess dirt with a soft brush. Use a damp cloth with mild soap and water to clean the upper and midsole. Avoid submerging the shoes in water.
- Drying: Air dry the shoes at room temperature. Do not use direct heat sources like radiators or hair dryers, as this can damage the materials.
- Storage: Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight when not in use. Consider using shoe trees to help maintain their shape.
- Laces: Inspect laces regularly for wear and tear. Clean or replace as needed.
- Midsole Care: Avoid exposing the foam midsole to extreme temperatures or harsh chemicals, which can degrade its cushioning properties.
