Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
- Unpack: Carefully remove the air fryer from its packaging. Remove all packing materials, including any protective films or inserts.
- Placement: Place the air fryer on a stable, flat, heat-resistant surface, ensuring adequate space around it for ventilation. Avoid placing it directly against a wall or under cabinets during operation.
- Initial Cleaning: Before first use, wipe down the exterior with a damp cloth. Wash the cooking basket and cooking tray with warm, soapy water, then rinse and dry thoroughly. It is recommended to run an empty cycle (e.g., air fry at 200°C for 5-10 minutes) to burn off any manufacturing oils, which may produce a slight odor.
- Power: Plug the appliance into a standard electrical outlet.
Compatibility
The Instant Pot Vortex 4-in-1 Air Fryer is designed to be countertop-friendly, fitting comfortably in most kitchens. It operates with standard household electrical outlets. No special compatibility requirements for specific foods or cookware; simply use standard oven-safe accessories that fit within the basket.
Care
- Unplug Before Cleaning: Always unplug the air fryer from the power outlet and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
- Cooking Basket and Tray: The cooking basket and tray are typically non-stick and can be washed with warm, soapy water. Use a soft sponge or cloth to avoid scratching the non-stick coating. For stubborn food residue, soak the components in warm, soapy water for a few minutes before cleaning. Most models allow these components to be top-rack dishwasher safe, but always check your specific manual.
- Exterior: Wipe the exterior of the appliance with a damp cloth. Do not immerse the main unit in water or any other liquid.
- Interior: Gently wipe the interior walls and heating element (once cooled) with a damp cloth to remove any grease or food splatters. Avoid abrasive cleaners or scouring pads.
