Setup, Compatibility & Care
Initial Setup: To set up your iPad Air, power it on and follow the on-screen prompts. You'll be guided through selecting your region, language, connecting to Wi-Fi or cellular networks, and signing in with your Apple ID. You can also choose to set up as a new iPad or restore from a previous backup.
Compatibility: The iPad Air runs on iPadOS 26 and is compatible with all apps available on the App Store. It supports accessories like the Apple Pencil Pro and Magic Keyboard, which connect wirelessly or via the Smart Connector. It can sync with Mac computers and other Apple devices through iCloud and AirDrop. Ensure your computer's operating system is up-to-date for optimal syncing (Mac OS X or later).
Care and Maintenance:
- Cleaning: To clean the screen, use a soft, lint-free cloth slightly dampened with water. Avoid abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals. For the body, use a dry, soft cloth. Ensure the device is powered off before cleaning.
- Charging: Use the included USB-C cable and a compatible power adapter (sold separately, minimum 15W, recommended 60W for faster charging). Wireless charging is also supported.
- Temperature: Operate the iPad Air between 0°C and 35°C (32°F and 95°F) and store it between -20°C and 45°C (-4°F and 113°F).
- Water Resistance: The iPad Air has an IP42 rating, meaning it is resistant to dust and water splashes. It is not waterproof; avoid submerging it in water.
- Software Updates: Regularly update iPadOS through Settings > General > Software Update to ensure you have the latest features, security patches, and performance improvements.
