Setup, Compatibility & Care
Initial Setup:
Your new iPad Air comes pre-installed with iPadOS 26. To begin, power on the device by pressing and holding the top button. Follow the on-screen instructions to select your language, region, and connect to a Wi-Fi network. You can then sign in with your Apple ID or create a new one to access the App Store, iCloud, and other Apple services. If you have another Apple device, Quick Start can help you transfer settings and data automatically.
Compatibility:
This iPad Air is compatible with a wide range of accessories, including the Apple Pencil Pro and Magic Keyboard (sold separately). It supports Wi-Fi 7 (802.11be) and Bluetooth 6.0 for wireless connectivity. The USB-C port supports USB 3.2 Gen 2, enabling fast data transfer and connection to external displays and storage devices.
Care Instructions:
- Cleaning: Clean the display and housing with a soft, lint-free cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners, solvents, or aerosol sprays. For stubborn smudges, lightly dampen the cloth with water.
- Display: The display features an anti-reflective and oleophobic coating. Avoid direct contact with sharp objects and abrasive materials to prevent scratches.
- Battery: The Lithium Polymer battery offers extended use. To maintain battery health, avoid extreme temperatures and consider using the USB-C port for charging with a compatible power adapter (sold separately) that meets the minimum 15W requirement, or up to 60W for faster charging.
- Environmental: Operate the iPad Air within the specified temperature range of 0°C to 35°C (32°F to 95°F) and humidity of 5% to 95% non-condensing. Store it between -20°C to 45°C (-4°F to 113°F).
