The HOKA Mafate X ensures excellent traction across gravel and hard technical surfaces with zonal Vibram Megagrip and 3.5mm lugs. The midsole incorporates a dual-density cushioning system, utilizing PEBA foam on the top layer and super-critical EVA carrier foam below, combined with a forked carbon plate to provide deep, propulsive cushioning that alleviates the strain of long trail miles. A smooth-curving forefoot metarocker facilitates each stride, while the rearfoot-focused Active Foot Frame cradles your foot for improved comfort, fit, and control.
