Setup, Compatibility & Care
Getting Started
Your Gazelle Bold trainers are ready to wear right out of the box. While there's no technical 'setup,' we recommend a few steps for optimal experience:
- Initial Try-On: Ensure the fit is comfortable. Suede may feel slightly stiff initially but will soften with wear.
- Suede Protection: Before your first wear, consider applying a suede protector spray. This creates an invisible barrier against water and stains, significantly prolonging the shoe's pristine look.
Compatibility
These trainers are incredibly versatile for fashion pairing:
- Casual Outfits: Jeans, chinos, leggings, shorts.
- Dresses & Skirts: Midi skirts, slip dresses, mini skirts for a playful contrast.
- Athleisure: Pair with track pants or joggers for an elevated sporty look.
- Seasonal: Works well year-round, but ideally in dry conditions to preserve the suede.
Care & Maintenance
Proper care is crucial for maintaining the beauty of your suede Gazelle Bold trainers:
- Regular Brushing: Use a suede brush to gently remove surface dirt and dust. Brush in one direction to maintain the nap. For deeper dirt, brush against the grain first, then with it.
- Spot Cleaning: For minor scuffs or marks, use a suede eraser (a specific rubber block designed for suede). Gently rub the affected area.
- Deep Stains: For more stubborn stains, use a suede cleaner product specifically formulated for suede. Follow the product's instructions carefully.
- Avoid Water: Suede is highly susceptible to water damage. Avoid wearing your trainers in heavy rain or wet conditions. If they do get wet, stuff them with newspaper to absorb moisture and let them air dry naturally away from direct heat.
- Storage: Store your trainers in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Using shoe trees can help maintain their shape.
- Avoid Harsh Chemicals: Do not use harsh detergents, bleach, or abrasive cleaners, as these can damage the suede.
