Setup, Compatibility & Care
To ensure the longevity of your HOKA Challenger 8 trainers, follow these guidelines:
- Break-in Period: While these shoes feel comfortable out of the box, perform a few shorter runs to allow the foam and upper to adapt to your foot shape.
- Cleaning: Remove loose debris after each trail run using a soft-bristled brush. Hand wash with mild soap and cold water if heavily soiled; never put your trainers in a washing machine.
- Drying: Air dry only in a well-ventilated area away from direct sunlight or heat sources, which can warp the foam and damage adhesives.
- Replacement: Generally, replace your shoes every 300-500 miles depending on your gait and the abrasiveness of the surfaces you run on.
