Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
This laptop does not come with an operating system pre-installed. You will need to create a bootable USB drive with your preferred OS (e.g., Windows, Linux) and install it by booting from the USB.
- Insert your bootable USB drive into a USB port.
- Power on the laptop and immediately press the appropriate key (often F2, F10, F12, or DEL) to enter the BIOS/UEFI settings.
- Configure the boot order to prioritize the USB drive.
- Save changes and exit the BIOS. The laptop will now boot from the USB drive, and you can proceed with the OS installation.
Compatibility:
- Memory Expansion: The laptop has 24 GB of RAM (1 x 16 GB SO-DIMM + on-board memory). It supports a maximum of 24 GB. If you wish to upgrade, you would need to replace the existing 16 GB SO-DIMM module with a larger one if supported by the motherboard, but the maximum is capped at 24 GB total.
- Storage: The 512 GB M.2 NVMe SSD is compatible with standard M.2 2242/2280 form factors. Ensure any replacement SSD adheres to these specifications.
- Peripherals: Compatible with most USB devices, Bluetooth accessories, and external displays via HDMI.
Care:
- Cleaning: Use a soft, dry microfiber cloth to clean the screen and exterior. For stubborn marks, lightly dampen the cloth with water. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
- Ventilation: Ensure the laptop's vents are not blocked to maintain optimal operating temperatures. Avoid using the laptop on soft surfaces like beds or pillows for extended periods.
- Battery: To preserve battery health, avoid keeping the laptop plugged in at 100% charge constantly. Occasional full discharge and recharge cycles can be beneficial.
- Temperature: Operate the laptop within the specified temperature range of 5°C to 35°C.
