Setup, Compatibility & Care
Proper setup and care ensure optimal performance and longevity for your Breville Halo Flexi Dual Zone Air Fryer.
Initial Setup
- Unpack Carefully: Remove all packaging materials, including any protective films or inserts. Inspect the unit for any transit damage (note the described damage on corners and lid if this is the specific unit in question).
- Placement: Position the air fryer on a stable, flat, heat-resistant surface. Ensure there is adequate clearance (at least 15 cm or 6 inches) on all sides and above the unit for proper ventilation. Do not place it near walls or under cabinets that could be damaged by steam or heat.
- Clean Before First Use: Wash all removable accessories (baskets, mesh trays, roasting trays) with warm, soapy water, rinse thoroughly, and dry completely. Wipe the interior and exterior of the main unit with a damp cloth.
- Power Connection: Plug the power cord directly into a grounded wall outlet. Avoid using extension cords if possible.
- Accessory Configuration: Familiarize yourself with the various accessories. The removable wall allows you to configure the cooking space as two separate zones or one large zone. Simply insert or remove it as needed before cooking.
Compatibility
- Kitchen Space: While offering a large capacity, its dual-zone design aims to be a 'space-saver' by consolidating multiple cooking functions into one appliance. Measure your counter space to ensure it fits comfortably.
- Power Requirements: Designed for standard household electrical outlets. Ensure your outlet can support the wattage of the air fryer (Info needed: Specific wattage would be helpful, but generally standard for kitchen appliances).
Care & Maintenance
Regular cleaning helps maintain hygiene and performance.
- Always Unplug: Before cleaning, always unplug the air fryer and allow it to cool completely.
- Dishwasher-Safe Accessories: Baskets, mesh trays, and roasting trays are designed for easy cleaning. Simply place them in the dishwasher after use.
- Non-Dishwasher Safe Components: The main unit (housing) and heating element are not dishwasher-safe.
- Interior: Wipe the interior with a soft, damp cloth and mild dish soap. For stubborn food residue, soak the area with a small amount of warm, soapy water before wiping. Avoid abrasive sponges or harsh chemicals.
- Exterior: Wipe the exterior with a damp cloth. Do not immerse the main unit in water or any other liquid.
- Heating Element: Gently wipe the heating element with a dry cloth to remove any food splatters once the unit is completely cool. Avoid getting it wet.
- Storage: Once clean and dry, you can store the accessories inside the unit using its onboard storage feature. Store the air fryer in a cool, dry place.
