The New Balance 2002R Gore-Tex JJJJound Pine is a collaboration between the iconic sneaker company and the menswear design collective founded in Montreal by Justin R. Saunders. This collaboration introduces the 2002R GORE-TEX “Pine'” M2002RXY, merging premium craftsmanship with rugged functionality. The sneaker features an upper with a base of tightly woven black mesh, overlaid with thick mottled green suede strips at the toe cap, eyestays, quarter panel, collar, and heel. The signature side panel 'N' is in black leather with reflective detailing, complemented by black rope laces and a black lace lock. Dual branding appears on the black heel counter, with Gore-Tex branding above '2002R' debossed branding at the outer collar. The durable upper sits on a black ABZORB midsole with an SBS ABZORB unit in the heel for superior cushioning, and a deeply lugged black rubber outsole ensures multi-surface traction. A key feature is the Gore-Tex inner bootie designed to keep your foot dry. The New Balance 2002R Gore-Tex JJJJound Pine was released on February 15, 2024.
