Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
Your Adizero EVO SL shoes come with a regular fit and lace closure. Ensure you lace them securely but not overly tight to allow for natural foot expansion during runs. Experiment with different lacing techniques if you experience pressure points or desire a more locked-in feel. Always double-knot your laces before running to prevent them from coming undone.
Compatibility
- Runner Type: Best suited for neutral runners who do not require significant motion control or stability features.
- Surface: Optimized for asphalt surfaces. While the outsole provides grip, exercise caution on extremely wet, icy, or uneven terrain.
- Activity: Ideal for fast training, tempo runs, interval workouts, and shorter-to-mid distance races where speed is a priority.
Care
Proper care extends the life and performance of your shoes:
- Cleaning: After runs, especially in dirty conditions, gently brush off loose dirt. For deeper cleaning, use a mild soap (like diluted dish soap) and a soft brush or damp cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals or machine washing, as these can damage materials and adhesives.
- Drying: Allow shoes to air dry naturally at room temperature. Do not expose them to direct heat sources like radiators or direct sunlight, which can cause materials to shrink or crack.
- Storage: Store your shoes in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Avoid cramming them into tight spaces, which can alter their shape.
- Rotation: If you run frequently, consider rotating your Adizero EVO SL with another pair of training shoes. This allows the cushioning foam to decompress and recover, prolonging the shoe's lifespan.
- Inspection: Regularly check the outsole for excessive wear and the upper for any tears or damage. Addressing minor issues early can prevent them from worsening.
