Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
- Unbox your Latitude 5455 and connect the power adapter.
- Press the power button to initiate the Windows setup process.
- Follow the on-screen prompts to connect to a Wi-Fi network, sign in with your Microsoft account, and configure Windows settings.
- Once Windows is set up, allow it to check for and install any available driver and operating system updates.
Compatibility:
The Latitude 5455 runs on Windows and is optimized for applications that leverage its Snapdragon® X Series processors and AI capabilities. While many modern applications run seamlessly, users should verify compatibility for specific legacy software, especially those requiring x86 architecture. Microsoft's Windows on ARM platform has improved compatibility significantly, and many common productivity applications are well-supported.
Care:
- Cleaning: Use a soft, lint-free cloth to clean the screen and exterior. For tougher smudges, lightly dampen the cloth with water. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Ventilation: Ensure the laptop's vents are not blocked to maintain optimal performance and prevent overheating. Avoid using the laptop on soft surfaces like blankets for extended periods.
- Battery Health: To maximize battery longevity, avoid frequent full discharges. Consider using Windows' built-in battery management features.
- Storage: When storing the device for extended periods, ensure it is powered off and has a charge of at least 50%. Store in a cool, dry environment.
