Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
The HOKA Bondi 9 trainers are designed for immediate use right out of the box. No specific setup is required beyond ensuring they fit correctly. For optimal performance, it is recommended to wear them for a few shorter runs to allow your feet to adapt to the cushioning and geometry.
Compatibility
These trainers are designed for road running and walking. They are suitable for:
- Neutral pronation and underpronation.
- Runners and walkers prioritizing cushioning and comfort.
- Daily training, long runs, recovery runs, and extended walking.
They are not specifically designed for technical trail running due to their cushioning focus and outsole pattern.
Care Instructions
To maintain the performance and longevity of your HOKA Bondi 9 trainers:
- Cleaning: Remove excess dirt with a soft brush or dry cloth. For deeper cleaning, use a mild soap and cold water with a soft brush or cloth. Avoid machine washing or drying, as this can damage the materials and structure.
- Drying: Allow the shoes to air dry naturally at room temperature. Keep them away from direct heat sources like radiators or sunlight, which can degrade the foam and adhesives.
- Storage: Store the trainers in a cool, dry place when not in use. Avoid prolonged exposure to extreme temperatures.
- Rotation: If possible, rotate between multiple pairs of running shoes to allow them to fully dry out and recover between uses, extending their lifespan.
