Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup: Getting started with your MacBook Air is straightforward. If migrating from a Windows PC or an older Mac, use the Migration Assistant utility, available within macOS, to transfer your files, applications, and settings. Simply follow the on-screen prompts. Your MacBook Air comes with macOS Sonoma pre-installed, offering a user-friendly interface.
Compatibility: As a Mac, this laptop is designed to work seamlessly with other Apple devices. Features like Handoff, Universal Clipboard, and AirDrop allow for effortless content sharing between your iPhone, iPad, and Mac. It supports a wide range of macOS applications, available through the App Store or directly from developers. For external devices, it features two Thunderbolt/USB 4 ports, supporting high-speed data transfer, charging, and display output.
Care: To maintain your MacBook Air, regularly clean the screen with a soft, lint-free cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive materials. Keep the ventilation areas (though minimal in this fanless design) free of dust. For the aluminum enclosure, a slightly damp cloth can be used. Ensure the device operates within its recommended temperature range (10°C to 35°C) to prevent overheating. Protect the device from extreme temperatures during storage ( -25°C to 45°C) and humidity (0% to 90%).
