A design pared down to its absolute essential features, the Valerie Objects Solo Seat consists only of a steel frame and a leather seat, spanned between two horizontal bars. Inspired by transparency and visual lightness, Muller Van Severen created the Solo Seat to be placed in a room without fully covering a background. Built on the same principal of a chair designed by Muller Van Severen for a 2012 solo exhibition at Interieur Kortrijk entitled 'Future Primitives', the 'Solo' seat is a simple piece of furniture comprising a leather seat stretched across a steel frame. With transparency being a key feature of the Belgian design brand's aesthetic, the chair can be placed in a multitude of settings without hindering its background or surroundings, thanks to a series of generous voids.
