Setup
- Initial Setup: Upon first use, follow the on-screen prompts to set up your macOS. This includes selecting your language, connecting to Wi-Fi, and creating an Apple ID.
- Software Updates: Keep your MacBook Air up-to-date by installing the latest macOS updates. Go to System Preferences > Software Update.
- Data Migration: If you're switching from another Mac, use Migration Assistant (Applications > Utilities) to transfer your files, applications, and settings.
Compatibility
The MacBook Air (M2, 2022) is compatible with a wide range of accessories and software:
- Accessories: Compatible with USB-C accessories via the Thunderbolt ports. Adapters may be needed for other connections (e.g., USB-A, HDMI).
- Software: Runs on macOS Sonoma and is compatible with a vast array of macOS applications. Many iOS apps are also available.
Care
- Cleaning: Use a soft, slightly damp, lint-free cloth to clean the exterior of your MacBook Air. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
- Battery Care: To maximize battery life, avoid exposing your MacBook Air to extreme temperatures. It is recommended to allow the battery to fully charge and drain periodically.
- Storage: Store your MacBook Air in a clean, dry place. Avoid placing heavy objects on top of it.
