The Hashira table lamp is the Nordic version of the traditional Japanese paper lantern. It owes its name Hashira to its shape (Japanese Hashira: column). The cylindrical shade is made of linen, whose characteristic are the unique irregularities in the fabric, which are also responsible for the special light of Hashira. To emphasise the natural look, the lampshade was mounted on a base made of sandblasted wood. The brightness can be adjusted by the three-step dimmer (100 %, 50 %, 25 %). The Hashira lamp series was designed by Norm Architects, a design studio working in the fields of residential architecture, graphics, art direction and commercial interiors, founded in Copenhagen in 2008. The Hashira cordless lamp combines a cylindrical linen lampshade with an oak base. The light filtered through the fabric is diffused and soft, creating a cosy atmosphere free from glare. The wooden base pairs harmoniously with the tactile aspect of the fabric. Once the light is switched on, the internal metal structure of the lampshade is revealed, forming a highly graphical geometric pattern. The Hashira cordless lamp creates a discreet and luxurious atmosphere, instilling a tranquil yet refined ambiance. With no cord, this go-anywhere lamp can be moved wherever you want. It is a perfect little ambient lamp in your lounge or entrance. The integrated battery recharges via USB (cable included). This lamp has a dimmer. Once recharged, it casts a soft light for up to 30 hours. To preserve the battery's life span, switch the lamp off when charging and don't leave it plugged in during use.
