Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
- Proper Lacing: Before each use, ensure your laces are tied securely but not too tightly. A firm, consistent lacing helps to lock your foot in place, maximizing the shoe's support and reducing slippage inside the shoe.
- Sock Choice: Wear appropriate athletic socks, preferably moisture-wicking ones, to enhance comfort and breathability during play.
Compatibility
The ASICS UPCOURT 6 is primarily designed for indoor court sports. This includes activities such as:
- Volleyball
- Badminton
- Squash
- Table Tennis
- Other non-marking indoor court activities
Its sole is optimized for indoor surfaces, providing excellent grip without leaving marks. Using these shoes extensively outdoors may lead to premature wear of the outsole and diminished performance.
Care Instructions
- Cleaning: To clean your ASICS UPCOURT 6, gently wipe the mesh and synthetic parts with a damp cloth and mild soap. Avoid harsh chemicals or machine washing, as these can damage the materials and adhesives. For stubborn dirt, a soft brush can be used on the outsole.
- Drying: Always allow your shoes to air dry naturally at room temperature. Avoid direct sunlight or using heat sources (like radiators or hair dryers), as this can cause materials to shrink, crack, or lose their shape. You can stuff them with newspaper to absorb moisture and help maintain their shape.
- Storage: Store your shoes in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight when not in use. This helps prevent material degradation and keeps them ready for your next game.
- Odor Control: If odor becomes an issue, remove insoles and air them out separately. You can also use shoe deodorizers or sprinkle baking soda inside the shoes overnight to absorb odors.
