Care and Maintenance
- Cleaning: Use a soft, lint-free cloth (microfiber is ideal) lightly dampened with water to clean the screen and exterior. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
- Battery Health: Optimize battery longevity by enabling 'Optimized Battery Charging' in System Settings > Battery. Avoid consistently draining the battery to 0% or leaving it fully charged for extended periods.
- Software Updates: Regularly install macOS updates to ensure optimal performance, security, and access to the latest features.
- Safe Handling: Always close the lid carefully and carry your MacBook Air by its base to prevent screen damage. Avoid placing heavy objects on top of it. Protect it from extreme temperatures and direct sunlight.
- Storage Management: Periodically review and delete unnecessary files to free up storage space and maintain performance. Utilize cloud storage services like iCloud for larger files.
