Setup, Compatibility & Care Instructions
Setup
Getting started with your Adizero Evo SL trainers is straightforward:
- Lacing: Ensure the laces are snug but not overly tight. A secure fit is crucial for performance. Experiment with different lacing techniques if you experience any pressure points or heel slippage. For a firmer lockdown, consider using the top eyelet.
- Break-In: While performance shoes are often ready to go, a short break-in period of a few easy miles can help the shoe conform to your foot.
Compatibility
- Running Surface: Specifically designed for road running (asphalt, concrete, track).
- Activity Type: Ideal for speed work, tempo runs, racing, and general training on roads.
- Foot Type: Generally suitable for neutral runners. The secure fit helps maintain stability.
- Socks: Pair with performance running socks for optimal comfort, moisture-wicking, and to prevent blisters.
Care
Proper care extends the life and maintains the performance of your running shoes:
- Cleaning: Remove loose dirt with a soft brush (e.g., old toothbrush). For tougher spots, use a mild soap (like dish soap) mixed with water and a soft cloth or sponge. Gently wipe the upper and midsole. Avoid harsh chemicals.
- Drying: Always air dry your shoes at room temperature, away from direct sunlight or heat sources (like radiators), which can damage materials. Stuffing them with newspaper can help absorb moisture and maintain shape.
- Storage: Store in a cool, dry place. Avoid leaving them in direct sunlight or extreme temperatures for prolonged periods.
- Avoid Machine Washing: Machine washing can damage the shoe's structure, glues, and materials, voiding any warranties.
- Rotate Shoes: If you run frequently, consider rotating your Evo SLs with another pair to allow the foam to decompress and recover, prolonging their lifespan.
