Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
Using your 100 Glacier Full-Zip Fleece is straightforward:
- Select Your Size: Ensure you have chosen the correct size for optimal comfort and layering. It's designed for a regular fit, allowing for base layers underneath.
- Adjust for Comfort: Zip up the full-zip to your desired level of warmth and ventilation. The elastic binding at the hem and cuffs provides a secure fit; ensure they sit comfortably around your wrists and waist.
- Check Pockets: Familiarize yourself with the zippered side pockets for secure storage.
Compatibility
- Layering System: This fleece is designed as a mid-layer, compatible with various base layers underneath and outer shells over top. It can be zipped into compatible The North Face outer jackets using the integrated loop and snaps for a seamless system.
- Activity Suitability: Ideal for casual wear, hiking, camping, and other low to moderate intensity outdoor activities in cool, dry conditions. Can be adapted for colder or wetter conditions by adding appropriate outer layers.
Care Instructions
Proper care will extend the life and maintain the performance of your fleece:
- Washing: Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle with like colors. Close all zippers before washing.
- Detergent: Use a mild detergent. Avoid harsh chemicals, bleach, or fabric softeners, as these can damage the fleece fibers and reduce its insulating properties.
- Drying: Tumble dry on low heat or, ideally, air dry flat. High heat can melt or damage the synthetic fibers. Do not iron.
- Storage: Store in a cool, dry place. Ensure the fleece is completely dry before storing to prevent mildew.
- Pilling: While designed to be anti-pilling, should any occur over time, you can carefully remove it with a fabric shaver.
