Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup: The iMac is designed for a simple setup. Connect the included power adapter to the iMac and a wall outlet. The Magic Keyboard and Magic Mouse are pre-paired and ready to use. Turn on the iMac using the on-screen prompts to complete the macOS Sonoma setup, which includes connecting to Wi-Fi and signing into your Apple ID. The two Thunderbolt 3 / USB 4 ports on the back can be used for high-speed data transfer and display output.
Compatibility: The iMac runs macOS Sonoma, ensuring compatibility with a vast ecosystem of Mac applications. It also integrates seamlessly with other Apple devices like iPhones and iPads via Continuity features such as Handoff, Universal Clipboard, and AirDrop. For peripherals, it supports standard USB-A devices via an adapter or hub, and most Bluetooth accessories.
Care: To clean the exterior and display, use a soft, lint-free cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or window-cleaning sprays, as they can damage the screen's anti-reflective coating. For stubborn smudges, lightly dampen the cloth with water. Ensure the iMac is powered off and unplugged before cleaning. Keep the ventilation areas clear of dust and debris to maintain optimal performance and prevent overheating.
