Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
Using your Glacier Full-Zip Fleece is straightforward. Simply unzip fully to put on, then zip up to your desired comfort level.
- Donning: Unzip the full-length zipper.
- Adjusting: Once on, use the elastic binding at the hem and cuffs to achieve a snug fit that traps warmth.
Compatibility
- Zip-in System: This fleece features `zip-in compatible` loops at the back collar and tape & snap on cuffs. This allows it to be securely integrated as a liner into many compatible The North Face outer shells. Look for outer jackets with a corresponding zip-in feature to create a versatile 3-in-1 system.
- Layering: It pairs well with a base layer (like a wicking t-shirt) underneath and a waterproof/windproof shell over it for comprehensive protection in varying weather conditions.
Care
Proper care will extend the life and performance of your fleece.
- Washing: Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle with similar colors.
- Detergent: Use a mild detergent. Avoid fabric softeners as they can clog fleece fibers and reduce breathability and wicking properties.
- Bleaching: Do not bleach.
- Drying: Tumble dry on low heat or, ideally, air dry flat. High heat can damage fleece fibers.
- Ironing: Do not iron.
- Dry Cleaning: Do not dry clean.
- Pilling Prevention: Turn the garment inside out before washing to reduce surface friction that can lead to pilling.
