The memory will work out of the box at the default SPD speed of 4800 MHz. Enabling XMP 3.0 is required to reach the rated 6600 MHz speed.
This module is optimized for Intel platforms using XMP 3.0 profiles. While it may function on other platforms, performance and stability are optimized for Intel systems.
SPD speed is the JEDEC standard speed (4800 MHz) the memory runs at by default for safety. XMP speed is the tested, overclocked speed (6600 MHz) provided by the manufacturer.
Mixing different memory kits is not recommended as it can lead to system instability and failure to boot at higher speeds.
You can use the G.SKILL lighting control software or your motherboard's native RGB software such as Asus Aura, Gigabyte RGB Fusion, MSI Mystic Light, or ASRock Polychrome Sync.
Clear CMOS to reset BIOS settings. Ensure your BIOS is updated to the latest version to improve DDR5 memory compatibility.
This is normal if XMP/DOCP/A-XMP has not been enabled in the BIOS. Access the BIOS menu to activate the XMP 3.0 profile.
Ensure the specific software for your motherboard (e.g., Asus Aura or MSI Mystic Light) is installed and that the latest version of the G.Skill lighting control software is not conflicting.
To ensure proper installation, clear the memory slots on your motherboard and align the notch on the 288-pin DIMM modules before pressing down firmly until the clips engage. Because this kit operates at 1.4V, ensure your case has adequate airflow to manage thermals. Always verify your motherboard's QVL (Qualified Vendor List) to ensure compatibility with 6600 MHz DDR5 speeds, as stability is highly dependent on your CPU's integrated memory controller and the motherboard's trace layout.
