The Shock Doctor Gel Max Mouth Guard is engineered for athletes participating in high-impact sports, offering superior dental protection and a personalized fit. Featuring an advanced gel-fit liner and a robust exoskeletal shock frame, it delivers maximum impact absorption and comfort. While an initial boil-and-bite fitting is required, this mouthguard provides exceptional safety, breathability, and confidence, helping athletes focus on their performance.
Gel Fit Liner: Designed to precisely mold to the contours of your teeth, creating a custom, tight, and comfortable fit that ensures the mouthguard stays securely in place.
Exoskeletal Shock Frame: A sturdy outer layer that, along with integrated jaw pads, provides maximum impact protection by absorbing and dispersing force away from your teeth and jaw.
Triple Layer Design: Combines multiple protective layers for enhanced defense, superior comfort, and an optimized fit, ensuring comprehensive dental safety.
Integrated Breathing Channel: Strategically incorporated into the design to allow for clear airflow, helping athletes maintain optimal oxygen intake and breath during intense physical activity.
Minimizes Impact Transfer: The advanced construction works to reduce the shock transferred through the mouthguard, protecting against concussive forces impacting the jaw and skull.

The Shock Doctor Gel Max Mouth Guard is a high-performance essential for athletes in various contact sports, including football, hockey, lacrosse, basketball, martial arts, and boxing. Its primary function is to safeguard your teeth and jaw from impacts. The Gel Fit Liner is critical for its performance, ensuring that once molded, the mouthguard creates a secure, vacuum-like seal around your teeth, preventing it from shifting during action. This secure fit, combined with the Exoskeletal Shock Frame, means that when an impact occurs, the force is distributed across the mouthguard's surface rather than concentrating on a single point of your teeth or jaw. The Integrated Breathing Channel allows athletes to maintain consistent airflow, which is vital for stamina and focus during prolonged matches or training sessions. For example, a hockey player can take a hit to the mouth with greater confidence, or a boxer can maintain steady breathing throughout a round, all while benefiting from a custom-fit protection that doesn't hinder their ability to communicate or hydrate.
Boil Water: Bring a pot of water to a rolling boil.
Submerge Mouth Guard: Remove the pot from heat and carefully place the mouthguard into the hot water for approximately 30-60 seconds. Do not exceed 90 seconds, as this can damage the guard.
Cool Slightly: Remove the mouthguard from the hot water using a slotted spoon. Quickly dip it into cool water for 1-2 seconds to cool the outer layer, but keep the inner gel soft.
Fit to Mouth: Immediately place the mouthguard onto your upper teeth. Bite down firmly, applying pressure with your fingers to the front and sides of the mouthguard against your teeth and gums. Suck out the air and water from the mouthguard to create a tight suction fit. Hold for 20 seconds.
Set the Mold: Remove the mouthguard and immerse it in cold water for 30 seconds to allow the gel to harden and set the custom mold.
Check Fit: Test the fit. It should feel snug and not fall out when you open your mouth. If the fit is not satisfactory, you can re-mold up to two more times by repeating the steps.
This mouthguard is designed for a broad range of contact and collision sports where dental protection is paramount. It is suitable for most adult users; however, individuals with braces should consult their orthodontist before use or opt for a specialized orthodontic mouthguard.
After Each Use: Rinse your mouthguard thoroughly with cold water to remove saliva and debris.
Deep Cleaning: Periodically clean your mouthguard with a soft toothbrush, mild soap, and water, or a non-abrasive mouthguard cleaning solution. Avoid abrasive toothpaste or harsh chemicals.
Drying: Allow the mouthguard to air dry completely before storing.
Storage: Store your mouthguard in a ventilated, protective case to prevent bacterial growth and physical damage.
