Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
- Unboxing: Carefully remove the laptop and its accessories from the packaging.
- Power Connection: Connect the included 65W AC adapter to the laptop's USB Type-C charging port and plug it into a power outlet.
- Initial Boot: Press the power button to turn on the laptop. Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the Windows 11 Pro setup, including network connection and Microsoft account sign-in.
- Updates: Once set up, check for and install all available Windows updates and driver updates from the ASUS support website to ensure optimal performance and security.
Compatibility:
The ExpertBook P1 supports a wide range of peripherals through its versatile port selection:
- USB Devices: Connect keyboards, mice, external drives, and other USB-A devices to the two USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports.
- External Displays: Connect monitors or projectors via the HDMI 1.4b port or the USB Type-C ports (supporting DisplayPort Alternate Mode).
- Networking: Utilize the Gigabit Ethernet (RJ45) port for stable wired network connections or connect wirelessly via Wi-Fi 6.
- Audio: Use the 3.5mm combo audio jack for headphones or external speakers.
Care:
- Cleaning: Use a soft, slightly damp, lint-free cloth to clean the exterior and screen. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive materials. Ensure the device is powered off and unplugged before cleaning.
- Ventilation: Keep the laptop's ventilation grilles clear of obstructions to ensure proper airflow and prevent overheating.
- Battery Care: To prolong battery life, avoid constant full discharges. Consider using battery health charging features if available in the ASUS software.
- Storage: When storing the laptop for extended periods, ensure the battery is charged to around 50% and store it in a cool, dry place.
