The Salomon XT-6 features a streamlined silhouette wrapped in a mix of breathable mesh and durable TPU film, providing effective weather protection. While it offers good resistance to moisture and light rain, it is not designed to be fully submersible or impervious to water in extreme, prolonged wet conditions.

We recommend cleaning your XT-6 shoes by hand. Use a soft brush or cloth with lukewarm water and a mild, non-abrasive soap. Gently scrub away dirt and mud. Do not machine wash or tumble dry. Allow them to air dry naturally at room temperature, away from direct heat.

The Quicklace™ system is a minimalist, strong lace for one-pull tightening. You simply pull the cord upwards until your desired fit is achieved, then tuck the excess cord and lacing mechanism into the lace pocket on the tongue. To loosen, press the button on the mechanism and pull the tongue forward.

While originally engineered for ultra-distance trail running, the Salomon XT-6 has been updated with materials and colors for everyday lifestyle. It's perfectly suitable for daily wear, urban commuting, and casual outings, providing exceptional comfort and style alongside its performance features.

The Mud Contagrip® outsole is specifically designed for maximum grip on loose, soft, rugged, and uneven surfaces. Its deep, sharp lugs excel in providing superior traction and control, especially in muddy or highly variable trail conditions.

The Dual-Density EVA Midsole offers exceptional shock absorption and responsive cushioning. This feature is crucial for reducing impact during high-intensity activities and ensuring sustained comfort during long periods of wear, both on trails and in daily use.

The Agile Chassis™ System is a key component that provides enhanced stability and protection. It works to connect the midsole and outsole, offering dynamic support and flexibility, particularly important when navigating technical terrain and maintaining control during descents.

Ensure you are pulling the lace mechanism firmly upwards to tighten, and fully depressing the release button before pulling the tongue forward to loosen. The lace pocket on the tongue should be used to store excess lace for an optimal fit.

Check the Mud Contagrip outsole for any embedded debris, such as small stones or hardened mud, which can reduce traction. Clean the outsole thoroughly with a brush and water. Ensure the lugs are free of obstructions for maximum grip. If the issue persists, evaluate the terrain; while highly capable, no shoe is impervious to all extreme conditions.

Verify that you have the correct shoe size and width. Ensure your socks are appropriate for the activity and fit well (avoid cotton for active use). Allow a brief break-in period for new shoes. If discomfort continues, consider adjusting the Quicklace tension or consulting a footwear specialist for fit advice.

While the XT-6 features waterproof elements, it is not fully submersible. Constant exposure to deep water or heavy, prolonged rain can eventually lead to moisture penetration, especially through breathable mesh areas. Ensure you are within the intended use for its water resistance. Check for any physical damage to the upper materials that could compromise its integrity.
