Factor comes in two variants to suit different environments: one with a warm, diffused light ideal for dining tables, kitchen islands or home workspaces, and another with a cooler, more focused output optimised for offices and public spaces. This latter version includes a discreet custom glare control louver, delivering high-performance task lighting with excellent colour rendering and glare prevention. Factor Linear is equipped with a tubular shade element made of extruded aluminum, in which powerful LEDs have been installed for energy-efficient ambient lighting. The shade element can be rotated 360 degrees. The opal diffuser creates a glare-free illumination that is very pleasant to the eyes. Factor Linear can be used in many ways in both private and public areas. It is suitable, for example, as table lighting in the kitchen and dining room, for reception desks in hotels and as a light source in fimen offices. Dimitri Bähler lives and works in Biel, Switzerland. After studying at ECAL (2010) and the Design Academy Eindhoven, he opened his own studio in 2014. His designs often seem spontaneous and guided by his sensitivity to the power of objects, but are based on effective research.
