The Intel X710-T4L is an internal Ethernet network adapter designed for high-performance networking. It features iWARP/RDMA for converged, low-latency fabric services in data centers, utilizing Kernel Bypass, Direct Data Placement, and Transport Acceleration. Intel® Data Direct I/O Technology improves I/O data processing efficiency by allowing adapters and controllers to communicate directly with the processor cache, reducing latency, increasing system I/O bandwidth, and lowering power consumption. This adapter is PCI-SIG* SR-IOV Capable, enabling the sharing of a single I/O resource between multiple virtual machines by appearing as multiple separate physical devices. It also supports Flexible Port Partitioning (FPP) technology, which divides the physical Ethernet device into multiple virtual devices using SR-IOV, ensuring quality of service by assigning each process to a Virtual Function with a fair share of bandwidth. Additionally, Virtual Machine Device Queues (VMDq) technology offloads switching tasks from the Virtual Machine Monitor (VMM) to dedicated networking hardware, significantly reducing overhead and improving overall system performance and throughput.
