The Mat Bar Chair from Normann Copenhagen blends sustainable craftsmanship with exquisite utility, providing a versatile seating solution in two heights: 65 cm (Bar Stool) and 75 cm (Breakfast Bar Stool). This unique chair, designed by Foersom and Hiort-Lorenzen in 2023, is part of the award-winning Mat Chair line. The shell is precisely made from a unique blend of 75% hemp fibers and 25% recyclable bico binder, while the Seaweed edition contains 69% hemp, 6% eelgrass, and 25% binder. The base comes in FSC™️-certified beech plywood or powder-coated steel in Cream or Black. For enhanced comfort and stability, the wooden base variants include a powder-coated steel footrest ring. The Mat Bar Chair has won awards for its basic design and eco-friendly manufacturing, including: Product of the Year (Mix Awards 2024) and Green Idea of the Year (Bo Bedre’s Design Awards 2024). Made in Denmark, it reflects a commitment to sustainability, with all components recyclable through Normann Copenhagen''s take-back programme.
