New Balance's 1000 is the sneaker of the moment; a revival of a turn of the millennium classic that’s characterised by its bold, futuristic aesthetic. The wavy upper is comprised of mesh and leather for a tech-inspired look, accented by the brand’s iconic ‘N’ logo on the sidewall. The chunky midsole is packed with ABZORB cushioning technology, whilst a grippy rubber sole grounds the design. Features include a mesh upper, leather overlays, lace-up closure, embroidered branding, reflective details, an ABZORB EVA midsole, stability web technology, and a rubber outsole. The reissued 1000 brings a turn of the millennium classic out of the archives. Originally released in 1999, the 1000 embodied the era’s bold, futuristic styling with a streamlined, yet intricately detailed design. The standard mesh upper and leather overlay design is inverted, with mesh underlays, emerging from the more prominent overlay panels, for a refined, tech-inspired look. A segmented sole unit features ABZORB cushioning at the heel and forefoot, with a Stability Web midfoot shank.
