Setup, Compatibility & Care
To ensure your child gets the most out of their ASICS Gel-Venture 6 GS trainers, follow these simple guidelines for setup, understanding compatibility, and proper care.
Setup
- Proper Lacing: Ensure the shoes are laced securely but not too tightly. A snug fit prevents the foot from sliding within the shoe, which can cause discomfort or blisters. Teach your child how to tie their laces properly, or ensure they are double-knotted for active play.
- Sockliner Placement: Check that the removable sockliner is sitting flat and correctly inside the shoe before wear to maintain optimal comfort and cushioning.
Compatibility
- Age Group: These trainers are specifically designed for kids (GS - Grade School).
- Gender: They are a Unisex design, suitable for both boys and girls.
- Activity: Best suited for outdoor activities, including light hiking, trail walking, playground play, and general active wear on varied terrains.
- Terrain: The trail-specific sole performs exceptionally well on natural surfaces like dirt, grass, gravel, and uneven paths. While suitable for pavement, its specialized tread may be less efficient than a smooth road running shoe.
Care Instructions
Proper care will prolong the life and performance of your ASICS Gel-Venture 6 GS trainers:
- Cleaning: After outdoor use, gently brush off loose dirt with a soft brush. Wipe the synthetic upper and outsole with a damp cloth and mild soap if necessary. Avoid harsh detergents or abrasive cleaners.
- Drying: Allow shoes to air dry naturally at room temperature. Do not use direct heat sources like radiators or tumble dryers, as this can damage materials and adhesives. You can stuff the shoes with newspaper to absorb moisture and help maintain their shape.
- Sockliner Care: The removable sockliner can be taken out and hand-washed separately with mild soap and water. Ensure it is completely dry before placing it back into the shoe.
- Storage: Store shoes in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight when not in use.
