Setup
- Connect Peripherals: Plug in your monitor, keyboard, and mouse. You can connect displays via the HDMI port or Thunderbolt 4 ports.
- Power On: Connect the power cable and press the power button on the back of the Mac Mini.
- Initial Setup: Follow the on-screen prompts to set up macOS. This includes connecting to Wi-Fi, creating a user account, and configuring your preferences.
Compatibility
The Mac Mini (M2, 2023) is compatible with a wide range of peripherals, including:
- Monitors: Supports displays up to 6K resolution at 60Hz via Thunderbolt 4 or HDMI.
- Keyboards and Mice: Compatible with Bluetooth and USB keyboards/mice.
- External Storage: Supports external hard drives and SSDs via Thunderbolt 4 and USB-A ports.
Care
- Cleaning: Use a soft, lint-free cloth to clean the exterior. Avoid using liquid cleaners directly on the Mac Mini.
- Ventilation: Ensure that the Mac Mini has adequate ventilation. Do not block the vents.
- Software Updates: Keep your macOS and applications up to date to ensure optimal performance and security.
