Setting up your MacBook Air is straightforward. If you're migrating from a previous Mac or PC, use the Migration Assistant to transfer your files, apps, and settings. For new users, macOS Sequoia provides an intuitive onboarding experience. Connect to Wi-Fi and sign in with your Apple ID to access iCloud services and download apps from the App Store.
Compatibility:
The MacBook Air M4 runs macOS Sequoia and is optimized for applications built for Apple silicon. Tens of thousands of apps are available, including popular suites like Microsoft 365, Adobe Creative Cloud, and Google Workspace. It seamlessly integrates with other Apple devices, allowing for features like Handoff, Universal Clipboard, and AirDrop.
Care:
- Cleaning: Use a soft, lint-free cloth to clean the screen and exterior. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents. For stubborn smudges on the screen, a slightly damp cloth can be used, followed by drying with a dry cloth.
- Battery Care: To optimize battery health, avoid exposing the MacBook Air to extreme temperatures. macOS includes battery management features to help maintain its long-term capacity.
- Storage: Store the device in a cool, dry place when not in use for extended periods. Avoid placing heavy objects on the laptop.
- Ports: Keep the Thunderbolt 4 ports free of dust and debris. Use certified cables for optimal performance and safety.
