Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
Your Adizero Evo SL shoes are ready to wear right out of the box. Simply put them on and adjust the lacing for a secure, comfortable fit. Experiment with different lacing patterns if you experience pressure points or desire a more locked-down feel. A good lacing technique should hold your foot snugly without restricting blood flow or causing discomfort.
Compatibility
- Runner Type: Ideal for neutral runners seeking a performance-oriented shoe for fast-paced training and racing.
- Terrain: Best suited for asphalt (road running) and capable on mixed terrains (light trails, packed dirt paths).
- Training Focus: Designed for fast training, including tempo runs, interval training, track workouts, and competition.
Care
Proper care extends the life of your running shoes and maintains their performance:
- Cleaning: Gently brush off loose dirt with a soft brush (like an old toothbrush). For deeper cleaning, use a mild soap and cold water solution on a soft cloth or sponge. Avoid harsh chemicals or machine washing, as these can damage materials and adhesives.
- Drying: Always air dry your shoes at room temperature, away from direct sunlight or heat sources. Remove the insoles to help them dry thoroughly and prevent odors. Avoid using a dryer, as high heat can warp materials.
- Storage: Store your shoes in a cool, dry, well-ventilated place. Avoid leaving them in direct sunlight or extreme temperatures (e.g., in a hot car trunk) for extended periods.
- Rotation: If you run frequently, consider rotating your Evo SLs with other running shoes. This allows the cushioning to fully recover between runs and can extend the lifespan of each pair.
- Inspection: Regularly check the outsole for excessive wear or embedded debris that could affect traction. Inspect the upper for any tears or damage.
