Setup, Compatibility & Care
Initial Setup:
- Unboxing: Carefully remove the laptop and its accessories from the packaging.
- Power Connection: Connect the AC adapter to the laptop and a power outlet. Power on the device using the power button.
- Windows Setup: Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the initial Windows setup, including connecting to a Wi-Fi network, creating or signing into a Microsoft account, and setting up security preferences.
- Updates: Once set up, ensure all Windows updates are installed for optimal performance and security. This can be done via `Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update`.
Compatibility:
This laptop is designed to be compatible with a wide range of peripherals and software that support the Windows operating system. Ensure any external devices you connect (printers, external monitors, USB drives) are compatible with Windows 11 or the specific Windows version installed. Check software requirements for demanding applications to confirm compatibility with the Intel Core i5 processor and 16 GB RAM configuration.
Care and Maintenance:
- Cleaning the Screen: For the touchscreen, use a soft, lint-free cloth slightly dampened with a screen-cleaning solution or water. Gently wipe the screen in one direction. Avoid spraying liquid directly onto the screen.
- Keyboard and Body: Use a dry microfiber cloth to wipe down the keyboard, palm rest, and exterior. For stubborn marks, use a slightly damp cloth.
- Ventilation: Ensure the laptop's vents are not blocked during use to prevent overheating. Avoid placing it on soft surfaces like beds or blankets for extended periods.
- Battery Care: Avoid consistently draining the battery to 0%. For long-term storage, charge the battery to around 50-60%. Use the provided AC adapter for charging.
